Community Advocacy Group - CAG

A community cannot be built by agencies or government or other outside entities.  It must be born, developed, nurtured and sustained from within the community by the individuals, families, associations and institutions who live and work there.

United Way has continued to make this statement and to make this happen the United Way board of directors made the change to focus on these three IMPACT areas:

    Education: By focusing on a quality education for our youth and encouraging academic completion, we substantially increase their ability to find a stable job.
    Income: It is absolutely critical families are financially stable and independent. It is impossible for families to be successful without sufficient income to last through retirement.
    Health: Even if people have a quality education and adequate income, it means nothing if they do not have their health and live in a healthy community.

Person County United Way would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday, May 16th at 6:30 pm at Piedmont Community College in Room S100 for our next Community Advocacy meeting.
