Our three Community Priorities Areas were selected by a diverse group of individuals and organizations from the health and human services arena in Person County. These three priorities guide our investment to those areas where there is the most need:
• Meeting Basic Needs and Building Self-Sufficiency
•Helping Children and Youth to Succeed
•Promoting Health and Wellness
The Community Investment Committee makes the funding decisions for donations to the Community Care Fund. These dollars are granted to Partner Agency programs to meet community needs.
 Community Care Fund:
Building a Strong and Healthy Community
Community needs change annually. Giving to the Community
Care Fund is the best way to have the greatest impact
because it allows us the flexibility to distribute funds
where they are most needed.
United Way will direct your contribution to programs
that are the best managed, most efficient, and most
effective at helping people become and remain self-sufficient.
How to Contribute
Contributions to the United Way help more than a eight
thousand people right here in our county each year.
Please pledge your support. If you cannot pledge through
payroll deduction at your workplace, please use one
of the easy methods below.

Fair
Share Giving is one hour's pay per month on an annual
basis.

Suggested
giving levels
Giving is a personal decision
and everyone must decide for himself or herself what
they can afford to give. The suggested giving levels
are simply a reasonable contribution guide established
to help meet critical needs in our community based
on total dollars earned in the area.
One hour's pay per month for annual income up to $20,000.
1% per year for $20,001 to $50,000 annual income.
1.5% per year for annual income of $50,001 or more.

Leadership
Circle

A Leadership Gift
is a donation of $500 or more per year. When you
make a Leadership gift to Person County United
Way, you are making a very personal and powerful
commitment to the community.
A major gift provides an opportunity to make a
significant and lasting impact on Person County.
It is an investment that helps build a caring,
strong and healthy community for today and for
tomorrow. A donation through Person County United
Way is the best way for you and your family to
give back to the community where you live and/or
work.
Our Leaders in Giving guide the way for charitable
giving in our community and provide leadership
by example to those who have the potential to
increase their level of commitment to Person County.
The spirit of community is about coming together
for those in need and keeping Person County a
safe and compassionate community for all.
In order to appropriately honor the contribution
of our Leaders, Person County United Way will
hold a Leadership Appreciation event in the spring.
Our Major Gifts program seeks
to provide to Person County:
· Access to new resources
- New dollars from these donations enhance the
ability to respond to community needs.
· Recognition of community leaders - As
these donors and volunteers gain recognition for
their charitable activities, they are recognized
as current and potential community leaders.
· Increased community spirit - Leadership
donors demonstrate their pride in the community
and desire to participate in its management and
activities and encourage the same in others.
