Person County United Way is governed by a local diverse group of volunteers who have the task of overseeing the United Way. The Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of caring, concerned citizens who represent the demographics of our community.
The Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss issues that affect the community. Decisions made on budget, program funding, and community needs, are made during meetings and reflect their commitment of accountability to the donors. They make sure that the contributions are spent wisely and for the programs that they are intended. Committee members are the arms, eyes and ears of the board. Each committee meets as needed to review information and submit recommendations at the monthly meeting. Board members serve as chairpersons and committees are made up of interested board members, donors and the community at large.

Community Volunteerism
There are several ways you can get involved with the community
and United Way can help. Giving a monetary donation, through
payroll deduction with your employer, or as a direct donation;
serve on the campaign cabinet or an allocations panel; coordinate
a special fundraiser event; volunteer with a member agency
providing needed services to our neighbors needing a hand.
There is no better feeling than being involved in a project
that may impact someone's life!
Whether you want to volunteer one time or continuous, there
are many opportunities that United Way can help you find.
Please call us - we will be glad to help you find an opportunity
to help.
To volunteer to serve with
United Way or with one of our agencies,
call 336-599-5899.
