United Way works for a healthier America
A healthier community is a stronger community. Whether it is a neighbor without health insurance, a victim of abuse, or someone struggling with mental illness or an addiction, United Way is working to ensure everyone has access to affordable and quality care.
United Way has a 10-year goal: that 90% of people will have assistance towards becoming healthier by 2028.
Achieving our goal requires us all to become more aware of health risks and the potential effects they have on ourselves and others, starting from before birth. Working to change policies and practices will enable more people to live healthier lives. When it comes to accessing health care, your zip code should not be a barrier to improved health. United Way is partnering with programs to assist those in our community who are homeless or struggling financially to access services.
