Special Events in out community are important and
welcomed additions to our daily lives.
Please check back here periodically for special United
Way events and happenings in our community.
Leadership Giving Event
Time of Year: Generally held
in the spring of the year
Purpose: To challenge and
to thank donors contributing more than $500
Attendance: Highly exclusive event for 25-30 affluent
leaders in Person County.
Each event strives to elevate the sights of individuals
who possess the capacity to support our community and to
increase recognition for those generous individuals and
couples who contribute $500 or more annually to United Way.
The events are typically dinners or cocktails.
Council of United Way Agencies
Time of Year: One hour
each quarter
Purpose: Meetings to educate
nonprofit directors (and their visiting board members)
Attendance: Approximately
30 each quarter. Person County United Way has a commitment
to continually improve nonprofit that care about health
and human services. We provide a quarterly forum to help
nonprofit learn about different topics such as: writing
grants, developing their boards, creating strategic plans,
lowering overhead cost, improving newsletters, developing
policies, saving money, or making sure they have the right
insurance coverage.

Avenue
of Agencies
Avenue
of Agencies is a showcase of the charities which are the
recipient of donations from the Person County United Way.
Purpose: To recognize
and thank large donors and corporate CEOs.
This luncheon is a thank-you to the community for its commitment
to health and human services programs. Various awards and
recognition are given. Currently, this is the premiere event
for the Person County United Way. Corporate sponsorships
help to offset the costs of lunch, facility rental, and
the awards, as this is a free community event. |
